Building Leaders. Transforming Communities.

Young people are not beneficiaries — they are leaders, co-creators, innovators, and changemakers with the potential to contribute meaningfully to their communities and society.

Our Three Priority Areas

💻

Digital Learning, AI & Innovation

We equip young people with skills that go beyond screens — from digital literacy and coding to understanding AI. Through hands-on workshops and innovation challenges, we help youth become critical thinkers and makers in an AI-shaped world, not passive consumers of it.

🌱

Climate Action and Resilience

Young people are the most affected by the climate crisis — and the most determined to confront it. We support youth to understand their local environment, connect it to global systems, and build community-led responses that are practical and sustained.

⚖️

Mental Health and Gender Equality

We challenge gender norms, build mental wellbeing literacy, and create safe spaces where every young person — especially girls and those most marginalised — can grow, lead, and belong.

A youth-centered organization built on the belief that change starts within communities.

Lead Now Foundation is a registered Section 8 company based in Delhi, India. We exist to build the leadership, skills, and confidence of young people, supporting them not as recipients of development, but as active contributors to it.

We work at the intersection of youth leadership, community transformation, and systems change. Our approach is grounded in co-creation: every programme, every strategy, every solution is built with the communities we serve, never for them.

Vision

Thriving, inclusive, and resilient communities shaped by young people who lead collective action and influence systems for lasting social change.

Mission

Lead Now Foundation builds the leadership, skills, and agency of young people to contribute to community transformation and positive change, with young people not as beneficiaries, but as co-creators of their own futures.

Why we exist and how we understand change.

A deep belief that young people are the world's most underutilised force for transformation.

We believe the world's greatest untapped resource is the leadership potential of young people, particularly those who have been overlooked and underestimated.

Lead Now Foundation exists not to do things for young people, but to create the conditions in which they can do extraordinary things themselves. We reject the idea that young people are problems to be solved, or populations to be managed. We see them as the most credible architects of their own communities' futures.

We understand that individual transformation and broader change are deeply linked. When one young person leads, others follow. When communities come together, things begin to shift. And when young people are genuinely supported and trusted, they can contribute to change that lasts.

Our work begins at the intersection of leadership and belonging, where a young person first discovers that their voice matters, their ideas have power, and their community needs them. From that moment, we walk alongside them.

NURTURE

Invest in untapped potential

We invest in the leadership potential of young people, especially those historically marginalised. Tailored training, workshops, and mentorship that meets each person where they are.

CONNECT

Build collective voice

When young people connect, collaborate, and support one another, something meaningful takes shape. We build bridges across communities, civil society, and networks — amplifying voices that deserve to be heard.

RESOURCE

Fund what matters

We raise and channel resources to young leaders and youth-led organisations, so that their priorities, not ours, drive the agenda. Flexible funding for flexible change.

INFLUENCE

Engage with systems and policy

We support young people to engage constructively with institutions, policies, and decision-making spaces — so that their perspectives are part of the conversation at every level.

Five principles. One direction.

These values are not aspirational statements pinned to a wall. They are the decisions we make every day: how we run programmes, how we treat partners, how we spend money, and how we talk about the communities we work with.

They exist to be lived, not just displayed.

01

Youth Agency

Young people lead, decide and create, not just participate. Their voice is not a consultation mechanism. It is the decision-making authority.

02

Equity

We pay attention to equity — especially for those most often left behind. Equity is not about treating everyone the same. It is about giving everyone what they need to thrive.

03

Collaboration

We build movements, not empires, with partners and peers. No single organisation has the full answer. Working together is not a compromise; it is the strategy.

04

Dignity

Every person and every community deserves respect and care. This is not performative. It shapes every word we write, every decision we make, every relationship we hold.

05

Systems Thinking

We look beyond quick fixes toward lasting, structural change. The root causes of injustice are systemic. The solutions must be too.

From the inside out. From the ground up.

Our Theory of Change reflects a deep conviction: that when young people — especially those who have had fewer opportunities — are genuinely supported, trusted, and resourced, they become a meaningful and sustained force for positive change in their communities.

Change often begins quietly — the moment a young person discovers that their voice matters. From that spark, it moves outward — into families, communities, and institutions. Our work is to nurture that spark, and walk alongside young people as it grows.

The Spark
A young person discovers their voice matters

  • Building youth collectives & platforms
Stage 03

  • Policy dialogue and constructive engagement
  • Flexible funding for youth priorities
🌍
Vision
Thriving communities led by young people

Individual Change

Confidence grows. Agency deepens. A young person stops seeing themselves as a product of their circumstances and starts reshaping them.

Community Change

Young leaders organise real people, solve real problems. Communities become more cohesive and capable — led from within, not managed from outside.

Institutional Change

Youth-led organisations grow stronger. Funders and partners increasingly recognise the value of youth-led work. What was once overlooked becomes part of how development is done.

Systemic Change

Policies better reflect community realities. Governance becomes more responsive. The spaces that once felt distant to young people begin to include their perspectives — because they helped shape them.

Thriving, inclusive, and resilient communities shaped by young people who lead collective action and influence systems for lasting social change.
